Which news outlet is the least biased (in any direction)? |
I'd vote for the PBS News Hour With Jim Lehrer; though even some of their correspondents have a conservative twang at times.
Of course, as a progressive - I'm too biased to see things objectively.:)

1. I'd leave the country, so to speak - BBC, AFP, Deutsche Welle |
All excellent organizations, with minimal celebrity drug/sex/drinking/incest/cult scandals.

5. Deutsche Welle is excellent... |
...and available on shortwave. BBC shortwave no longer broadcasts to the USA.

2. PBS or NPR. BBC is also pretty good. |
It is hard to tell the truth and not to appear to have a bias. As we all know, reality has a liberal bias.

6. CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) is in 1st place for me. |
They did a great recap of Tony Bliar the other night. Very balanced. Second place is BBC. They're not as critical as the CBC, but are lightyears ahead of any US media.

7. In the US, I'd say NPR and PBS, |
And they have their own pressures that they face, but they do a better job than the commercial netrworks.

12. I was thinking in terms of mainstream news. |
I don't have cable anymore so I haven't seen it in awhile, and forgot all about it,but I agree that it's excellent.I should remember to listen to it,but I'm a music junkie and when I think "Let's listen to something" it usually ends up being more psychotic music than politics and news. :)

9. If the outlet is owned by a corporation... |
...or receives funding from corporations it is too biased to take seriously. Turn it off!
