2. What they did was set up another middleman to make profits were none was needed.
Then they tried to force seniors to join one of them. The last congress and this administration raped the treasury and gave the funds to their friends. It is such a sorry state of affairs that conservatives say they are for small government when what they are really after is money in their pockets and the freep types just go along like the stupid lemmings they are.

3. You might be thinking of Part D, the drug plans. But both are sick

Basically a handout to insurance companies.

EDIT afterthought: The funny thing is, the way they help people with low income to afford drug plans is by having Medicaid subsidize it. So these Repigs, who are supposedly so state-rights, are using Medicaid, a state resource, to subsidize their handouts to the insurance companies.

4. One thing that seems to be a huge problem for seniors is the enrollment periods
Can only switch plans during a 45 day period at the end of the year.

5. I think you'll find the "dough-nut hole" to be a much larger problem.
Although, it's certainly not necessary to have a race for worst problem, eh?

6. its a problem, but it occurs in many forms of health insurance. Also, in many cases
the gap could be avioded if the appropriate plan is chosen. Problem is, many times people can be switched or dropped coverage, and cannot re-enroll until December. For example, if you miss a monthly payment and your plan decides to drop your coverage, you are without coverage for the rest of the year. Best you can do is file a complaint, but it won't get much done.
