I can't wait until Tom Cruise is President!
Edited on Sat May-12-07 09:17 AM by TwoSparkles
According to a new article from Jerry Falwell's Moral Majority Coalition--leaders
and followers of Falwell's organization are aggressively "Working to Preserve Religious
Expression in School".

Of course, this proposed "religious expression" comes in the form of Christianity--exclusively.
You can "express" any "religion" as long Jesus is somewhere in the equation.

Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with Christianity. The problem is Christians who will
not stop until our government-run schools become a pulpit for Jesus teachings. They want the
commandments on the walls; the Bible in science classes and God in every textbook.

What the Falwellians fail to realize is that they are creating the very circumstances from which
our forefathers bolted--mandated, government religion. These Christians are setting a dangerous
precedent: Become powerful and you can dictate religion to United States citizens.

That's why I can't wait until Tom Cruise is elected President.

Hey, it could happen. It wouldn't be the first time our country placed a thespian into the Oval Office.
Let's see how much Christians like it when President Cruise--equipped with his Scientology beliefs and
hardbound copy of "Dianetics"--decides that he wants to follow Falwell's idea of "Working to Preserve Religious
Expression in School".

How will Christians like it when President Tom Cruise adds "Ten Way to Strengthen Your Thetan" into
America's high-school, history classes?

Will Christians argue for "religious expression" when President Cruise mandates that all elementary students
must unravel all "engrams and implants" and achieve a state of "clear"--before graduating onto Junior High?

Those who are working so dilligently to infuse Christianity into schools need to realize that separation of
church and state protects religious freedom for everyone--including Christians. Without 'separation' everyone
loses religious freedom.

1. Every time an actor is put into politics, we get the biggest act of our lives.
And even Reagan was infinitely more sensible than Tom Cruise, give me strength!
