In "Anatomy of Deceit" blogger Marcy Wheeler condemns the Bush administration, saying the Vice President's office deliberately "outed" CIA agent Valerie Plame, wife of former ambassador Joe Wilson. Further, she criticizes the mainstream media for their complicity in promoting the administration's rationale for war in Iraq -- that Iraq was on the verge of acquiring weapons of mass destruction. "The Anatomy of Deceit" is the first book published by Vaster Books, a joint venture of DailyKos and FireDog Lake.

Marcy Wheeler is a business consultant. She writes under the name "emptywheel" on The Next Hurrah, a political blog.
