Poll question: Which candidate is marketing him/herself the best?
Early on I would have to give the nod to Richardson who doesn't get the medias attention but has a clear message and great commercials. Hillary and Obama are right behind him however they get a lot of free press. I am wondering if Richardson could be a sleeper in all this.

1. I don't know, and I can't answer. I think the top three are all doing a good job.
I also think the second tier are getting their names out there.

Of course, I am actually paying close attention to all of them, so I might be noticing where others might not.

2. I would say 7 of the 8 are doing very well.
Which makes me pleasantly surprised.

6. I don't know if I can begin to say how wrong everything about this poll is.
We aren't buying toothpaste, we're trying to save our fucking nation from an as-of-yet-successful fascist coup. We don't need a fucking product, we need someone who actually believes in the oath they'll take upon assuming office, and who'll do their fucking job in representing The People rather than The Money. That so many can take this poll without outrage makes me want to fucking puke.

7. Don't you think you're being a bit melodramatic?
If you expect anyone to get elected that isn't handled like a product, you live on the wrong planet, or maybe universe.

8. Your attitude is part of the problem. You simply accept it.
I won't, and I don't care what you think about how that appears.

9. I can hardly make a post on DU without someone getting melodramatic/outraged/etc
about something or other. I don't get why so many DUers seem to be looking for something to get upset about.

11. It's not meant to be taken seriously
It's just a conversation piece for Democrats standing around the water cooler. Spend 30 seconds here, ponder who has there campaign together and move on. No big deal.:eyes:

Remember this however, whoever markets them-self the best will likely be the winner.

12. Right, and that's the problem.
It should be a big deal. We are giving someone the highest-ranking job in the Executive Branch of government, not trying on clothes. This is how bush got fucking elected in the first place.

13. This poll isn' t telling anyone how to think
Give me a break, DUers are not that stupid. It's just for people who are interested in analyzing what the candidates are doing and how that might impact the election. We are actually analyzing how stupid many American voters are. I voted Richardson but he is actually fourth on my list of candidates. How is it you can't make that separation?

14. Now who's being melodramatic? Did I slap your baby?
I didn't call anyone stupid here yet, but you have. I don't care what your reasons are, I'm just pointing to the poll as an example of yet another problem with our politics today, and it's a good example. And I'd appreciate it if you didn't make assumptions about my cognitive abilities, you're not very good at it.

15. Just admit it
You simply don't get it.

And you are spending WAY too much time on something you think is a waste of time. Your supposed concern for the state of things is transparent.

16. No, that's a feeble comeback.
There's nothing for me to admit, and you're embarrassing yourself.

10. Richardson. He has some catchy ads (the only ads besides Romney I've Seen).
