Bill Clinton may get own campaign plane as he barnstorms the country for Hillary
Edited on Sat May-12-07 02:30 PM by Herman Munster
http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Bill_Clinton_to_take_more_public_0512.html

Bill Clinton has become the "strategist in chief" of his wife's campaign for the presidency, the NEW YORK TIMES will report in Sunday's paper, according to a copy of the article advanced to RAW STORY. Excerpts:

#
"Bill Clinton's connections, and his endless supply of chits, only begin to capture his singular role in his wife's presidential candidacy, advisers and friends of the couple say."

"He is the master strategist behind the scenes; the consigliere to the head of "The Family," as some Clinton aides refer to her operation; and a fundraising machine who is steadily pulling in $100,000 or more at receptions.

"Eventually, though, he will go public in a big way: Clinton advisers can already imagine a point in 2008 when Bill Clinton has his own campaign plane, press corps and schedule of events in crucial states while Hillary Clinton is barnstorming in others.

7. Where else do pro-Occupation forces have to go?
Given that bombing Iran is not a winning platform for Republicans, because Bush mishandled the War, HC allows them to have their cake and eat it too.

8. No shit. Exactly what I was thinking.

8 years of a Clinton signing more corporate friendly free trade agreements, going status-quo on the massively oversized and bloated Military-Industrial-Complex, and kow-towing to every CEO that wants to run unions out of America.

Then we all get to get Jeb Bush shoved down our throats afterward...

15. again
I ask, how is it a dynasty?

A dynasty is a multi-generational, hereditary rulership.

The Bushes aren't related to the Clintons. Hillary Clinton hasn't won yet.

You're also projecting a win for Jeb, that we have no reason to believe will occur.

There is no dynasty here.

2. The title of your post does not match the article cited.
Your title:
"Bill Clinton to get own campaign plane.."

The article:
"Clinton advisers can already imagine a point in 2008 when Bill Clinton has his own campaign plane,..."

5. "Clinton advisers can already imagine"
If Clinton advisers can imagine it, Clinton haters can sensationalize it...

13. Not everyone who is against HC is a Clinton hater.
Some of us have real concerns about anyone who courts MAD. I want to be for her, but can't. There should be limits to what we'll do to "protect" Israel.

16. Yes, but...
...those who go out of their way to spin a simple backpage gossip bit about a "candidate's spouse might fly in a plane" into "OMG LOOK OUT!!!! HERE COMES THE BUSH CLINTON DYNASTY!!!!" never seem to be *for* anything - just against Hillary. That's "hate" in my opinion. YMMV.

22. Could just be another candidate partisan, with not enough respect
for other peoples' minds. Could, instead, be an actual HC hater.

I think picking one candidate exclusively, at this point, damages the process. I know it's just too idealistic, but I have a dream that EVERYONE would refrain from committing and just work amongst ourselves to process everything that is being said by everyone, without any final commitments for a while. This would force the candidates to listen to us instead of listening to their PAID consultants.

The way things are now, HC will NEVER hear me, nor the millions like me, who have serious practical problems with how the logic behind "nothing's off the table when dealing with ________________" works itself out in the real world.

Edited on Sat May-12-07 02:54 PM by Maccagirl
so the Wellstone analogy doesn't apply. His character has already been assassinated (alot less messy than bullets) with his help. Why do we always get these tabloid-style "stories" quoting "friends" and "aides"-I had enough of this crap in the 90's and I'm not tolerating it again.
