The media is trying to create a horse race in November...
...that's what all the reporting the past 12 months has been about.

Trying to build up the GOP to the point where there is major drama on election night in November.

That's why... any time Obama's poll numbers dip, it is headline news. Anytime his poll numbers tick up, it is ignored.

The GOP has a 20% approval and 60% disapproval. The Democratic party has a 33% approval and 54$ disapproval. But this doesn't get reported.

The Tea Party gets a couple thousand people to show up at an event, and it is covered like the Super Bowl. A million anti-war protesters show up on the Washington mall, and it doesn't even make the papers.

They're creating a narrative. The narrative is, "The GOP is coming back. Be sure to tune in on election night, because control of Congress is on the line!"

They are creating the story line, not reporting on it.

Yeah... it is frustrating. But we have to keep fighting through it.

1. Agreed - keep fighting through is important.
But luckily, the GOP is going so crazy as we approach the midterms that they might be working for the left!

2. Yep. They are the PR department of the Republican Party.
Notice how during the primaries a couple of incumbents lost, and the story was "Anti-incumbent sentiment dominating elections!!" The main shakeups in the elections so far have been Republicans losing to the Tea Party clowns. Clowns losing to clowns could have been their headlines. But no, the narrative was about how much trouble the Democrats were in.

3. Agree. Remember how Obama and McCain were "neck and neck" right up to election day? nt
