Speaking of female viagra, when the hell is the male birth control pill coming? |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-21-10 11:54 PM by HEyHEY
My GF doesn't use the pill and doesn't want to. She doesn't like the idea of always putting it into her system. I, on the other hand, don't care. They can pump my ass full of the shit. I trust it.
So, we've been trying to find male birth control and it ain't happening. It'd be nice to find because, frankly, I'm real tired of being nervous for a few days a month. The other option is cutting my nads off, but I don't have kids yet and want some.
I've read many articles that always say we're close to having it, but it never comes. What gives?

1. Once a girl who didn't use birth control told me to make like a train. |
|
I said what does that mean. She said pull out on time.

2. Use that method and next time it'll mean "Get to the delivery room on time" |
|
That's a spooky method to rely on.

But I'm not sure I like that risk. Recently, in Canada, there was a fuck up and a bunch of snipped men's soldiers thawed out and were ruined....rendering them childless.

15. An old friend told me her third baby was a "we were just fooling around" baby |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-22-10 12:11 AM by Hekate
She had a kind of screechy voice, but was very frank and very funny. They were married, they had two boys already, but I guess they got like a couple of teenagers one fine night -- and voila, the boys had a little sister.
One of my mom's neighbor's had her 5th girl while using contraceptive foam. Her hubby and a neighbor pal of his went around singing "Tiny Bubbles" for awhile.
At least these folks had a sense of humor about it, is all I can say.

9. Not as many hormones involved in sperm production as there are in egg maturation & release - so not |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-22-10 12:08 AM by iris27
as many places to monkey with the works. Also, most of the hormones that *are* involved are also linked to libido. Of course our pill can be a libido killer too, but it's only a potential side effect - doesn't strike everyone.
Plus given the many guys who are anti-condom (probably doesn't come close to a majority but enough to have become a bit of a stereotype) some would-be developers might not think there's enough of a market for them to put the time in.

The drug would have to be really freakin' strong to do the job.

Funny that a train metaphor was used above, because I've heard a bio researcher describe the problem as "it's hard to stop a train". :)

There is a male pill, but you can't take alcohol and a few other things with it without your weenie dropping off.

Heart attack, stroke, fibroids, etc. not to mention some people gain weight. It's unbelievable that they haven't made a pill for men. I'm sure it would come with way fewer side effects.
