Ultimately security escorted the video crew from the Statehouse. Speaker Gaye Symington spoke to lawmakers about the incident. "The news crew asked threatening and misleading questions of the member and deliberately mischaracterized Vermont's laws and our commitment to protect children. This confrontation crossed the line of civil discourse that Vermonters value," she said.
