Campaign in freefall, desperate McCain fires New Hampshire campaign manager

His appearance on Meet The Press yesterday confirmed that he is one of three human beings who still think the US can "win" in Iraq, Bush and Cheney being the other two. Meanwhile, America wants out of there and fast. I don't think that campaign managers are your problem, Mr. McCain. You hitched your cart to a falling star.



PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) _ Sen. John McCain has made another change in his struggling campaign, dismissing his New Hampshire campaign manager on Friday.

Jim Martin had run the Arizona Republican's campaign in the state and was part of McCain's 2000 victory in the state. But the campaign decided to replace him with Jim Barnett, who had been a top political operative.
