Romney on 60 Minutes

Mitt Romney said on 60 Minutes last night that he and his party, "genuinely thought that we would be greeted as "liberators" in Iraq".
"Greeted as liberators" was a hollow slogan from the beginning and anyone with any knowledge of Iraq knew it.

Considering Bush Sr's urging of the Shia to rise up against Saddam, post GW1, and then Bush Sr's allowing of Saddam to fly gunships over and slaughter thousands of Shia as our troops were ordered not to interfere.
Considering that the decade long sanctions did not ingratiate Iraq to us.
Considering western treatment of this country, through the ages.
And also considering that many of us warned about all this before we went in...why the hell would anyone vote for this guy?

Why would we want someone that blind and/or ignorant of even recent historical perspective to be President?
We see with GWB what happens when you do this.

3. I saw a hint of the old media in Wallace's questions
Wallace actually questioned him on his flip-flopping ways several times, pointing out the discrepancies.
Either Romney is not the demon of choice by the neocons or some of the media will return to doing their jobs once bu$h, Cheney and Rove are out of the picture.

4. IMO
Romney will appeal to those voters "doing their civic duty", those who choose candidates for every superficial reason known to man. We all know a few of them, those who can't name anyone in the Presidents Admin but can tell you every "American Idol" contestant that ever made it to "Hollywood".

5. Romney, like most religous foke, doesn't think
he feels and believes.
He's an absolutely dangerous man in any position of power.

People like Romney, and mormanism as a whole, should be extinct in modern times. Instead, they rise to positions of power?!?!?!?!? WTF.
