1. When did he find out about this?
Why did it take so long to get this information?

3. The Claim is 300 Were Killed At Camp Falcon
I remember the evening this occured and someone posted the LBN story and we wondered how bad the casualties were. McDermott says he met with a member of the Iraqi Parliament and when asking if a "Beirut-style bombing" of a military installation was possible, the Iraqi said it had already happened and that it occured at Camp Falcon.

McDermott read the Army report that said there were no injuries...and put in the record several websites that appear to refute that claim.

Supposedly 300 were killed, 200 injured (along with another 200 Iraqis killed)...and that this occured just before the '06 elections and was hushed up to not further embarass a regime that was already in free-fall.

7. Those Are The Posts! Thank You
Dated 10-23-06...and Sy Hersch had the original report. I wouldn't think McDermott would take the floor with this bombshell if he didn't have more information to reveal (Sy Hersch...I hope) and the approval of Speaker Pelosi.

Now let's see how the corporate media stumbles with this. Plus there's the new Iraqi government crackdown on any photographers at future car and other bombings. Will they dare to push for some truth here...or will they have to be dragged as usual?

Cheers and thank-you!!

:hi:

9. Yep I'm hoping big time
Amazing that he was the only speaker before Nancy P introduced the US Association of Former Members of Congress. This should be interesting.

5. here's a partial transcript
he was talking to an iraqi legislator visiting the US.

i started recording at this point. this is the CLosed Caption transcript.

______

Liament,

he came to the U.S. To talk

with members of congress about

the realities of life in iraq.

At my invitation other members

of congress joined me in this

face-to-face legislative

exchange of information.

They heard what I'm about to

share.

During our meeting I asked him

if iraq was so unstable that a

terrorist attack could claim a

large number of americans in

one attack?

As many of us remember that is

what happened in 1983 when a

massive terrorist truck bomb

struck an killed 241 U.S.

Marines in beirut.

I wanted to know if such an

attack was possible in iraq.

Without hesitation he said such

an attack already occurred.

He said and others are saying

on line, that the attack on

camp falcon killed 300

americans, wounded another 200,

and killed or injured another

200 iraqis.

The pentagon says there was no

casualties.

But a member of the iraqi

parliament and others claim

there were significant

casualties.

Which story is true?

Slight images, aerial

photographs, videos, and

written accounts that purport

to be firsthand can be found

online.

I ask unanimous consent to

enter into the record a list of

some of these sites so that

people can see for themselves.

Here is one excerpt from a site

written after the attack by

french journalists, nine big

carriers marked by the red

cross sign transporting the

dead and injured were seen by

journalists.

Silence still rants the whole

event from the site of the

american military and the bush

administration since there

remains only a few weeks before

the legislative elections with

a public opinion more and more

against the war.

This happened just before the

last elections.

And it is unclear as to what

happened.

I don't know if these stories

are credible, but these reports

cannot be ignored.

If we lost hundreds of U.S.

Soldiers and other americans in

one attack, congress and the

american people have a right to

know about it.

I looked at the videos and the

aerial photographs and the

damage appears quite extensive

to buildings and military

vehicles like tanks.

Perhaps american soldiers and

others miraculously escaped

injury.

That would be very good news.

Or perhaps we don't know what

really happened on the night of

october 10, 2006, in an

insurgent attack on camp

falcon.

The pentagon should open all of

its files to independent

journalists.

I call for a full accounting as

soon as possible.

Some are saying there is a

cover-up in the military.

I say it's time to put all the

evidence out in the open.

I yield back the balance of my

time.

The speaker pro tempore:

Pursuant to clause 12-a of rule

1, the chair now declares the

house in recess until noon

today.

8. I remember CNN showing fires but then the reporting died.
Just read the DU Posts from that day and it brought back how we all couldn't believe that such a huge explosion wouldn't have many deaths. I seem to remember CNN or MSNBC saying that the Ammo Depot was not heavily manned. :eyes:

When is the Bush Administration going to be caught for Election Tampering and Fraud, along with obstruction of justice, crimes against humanity and shredding of the Constitution.

I guess it's so massive...it's like Enron. It will never be sorted out and those involved will just disappear.
