1. In the minds of bush and his supporters
It would have been better for them if those three had died in the initial gun fight, then there would not be all this bad news, just three more caskets headed home under cover of darkness without all this messy negative publicity. Conservatism is a very evil cancer.

4. Cajuns showed up with their boats the day after
but were thrown out by the National Guard that afternoon when they brought rescued people in.

The National Guard was under orders to seal the city. That monumental idiot Chertoff had rewritten the FEMA guide to reflect DHS concerns, in such a way that it treated natural disasters like contagion zones.

I know a nurse who sat on the tarmac on I-10 just outside the city for 5 days because the Guard wouldn't let the state disaster response team in.

And Chertoff still has his job.

9. I hope he hangs.
Even if he accidentally has to catch himself on his belt and wind up swinging from the bathroom door. I really don't care. I hope he hangs. People died in agony because of him. Yet he suffers nothing.

5. Honey, I thought you knew.
Given the choice, would the loyal Bushies save a city full of black people, or try to set up a new Jessica Lynch or Pat Tillman media story?

Hello?
