Teachers Terrorize Elementary School Kids !
Edited on Mon May-14-07 02:25 PM by cui bono
I smell a lawsuit. If my kid was in that class they would more than hear about it from me. What is wrong with these people??? And the principal won't even assure anyone that they'll get disciplinary action!!!

So what is the difference between this and calling in a bomb threat? This seems far worse to me. Those teachers need to not only lose their jobs but be put under psychiatric evaluation at the very least.

Teachers Stage Fake Gun Attack on Kids

AP | May 13, 2007 05:28 PM EST

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Staff members of an elementary school staged a fictitious gun attack on students during a class trip, telling them it was not a drill as the children cried and hid under tables.

The mock attack Thursday night was intended as a learning experience and lasted five minutes during the weeklong trip to a state park, said Scales Elementary School Assistant Principal Don Bartch, who led the trip.

"We got together and discussed what we would have done in a real situation," he said.

But parents of the sixth-grade students were outraged.

"The children were in that room in the dark, begging for their lives, because they thought there was someone with a gun after them," said Brandy Cole, whose son went on the trip.

1. That's pretty sick with no tangible end result, however
I went to Catholic school in the early 60's. The Nuns back then didn't need weapons to terrorize the student body and parents didn't object at all.

9. no kidding. the catholic church should use it's wealth to undo the psychological damage it's done
and then live in the actual poverty they took vows to. i've been to vatican city - they aren't fooling anyone.

4. And these people are teaching kids?
And I wondered if I was smart enough to go back to school to become a teacher. Apparently I have nothing to worry about.

5. Wheeze, wheeze, "Omigod! I can't breathe! I'm having an asthma attack!"
No telling what awful chain of events could have rolled out of this stunt.

6. At least with our nuke bomb drills, way back when,
hiding under our desks, they never said it was REAL. To a little kid even that was scary enough.
