BREAKING... Incident on my campus! I'm OK.

Stevens Point Police Department has set up a perimeter around the College of Natural Resources Building at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and is not letting anyone into the building. A slow evacuation of the building has begun.
Police are on the scene following a report of a man in his mid-30s about 2:30 p.m. carrying what appears to be a gun or a gun case, police said. As a precaution, police are asking students and staff to stay away from the CNR building and out of the line of fire, should it be needed.

I'm OK, I don't have any exams scheduled for today. I don't have any classes in this building anyways.

2. UPDATE:

From what I've heard, there's cops in body armour surrounding the building, no word on if there's actually a gunman in the building or not.

BTW, we received no email warning as of yet, no emergency warning message over the intercom, no nothing. I learned about this incident from a casual glance at the local newspaper's website. I'm keeping tuned to the campus radio station just in case.

Part of me wants to go grab my camera and tape this. Hell, I'm going to be interning with a press organization this summer, I might as well.

3. More news...
Apparentley, the kids who were taking finals at the time are now doing their exams either outside or in the Science Building next door.

Apparently, it was apparently a grad student with a gun case that was carrying water measuring equipment.

Talk about a WTF moment.
