Proving that our constitutional freedoms are still intact despite all those Socialists running the country, a New York Judge has thrown out a disorderly conduct charge against one Julio Martinez for doing that stupid pants-below-the-butt-with-underwear-hanging-out-thing. Judge Ruben Franco said Martinez may have offended the fashion police but not "public order and decency," though some of us might argue otherwise.

10. I didn't think it was a gay/straight thing--I thought it was "I'm a young teenager

and I feel a need to rebel! So, instead of just looking at porn and smoking cigarettes, I'm going to wear my pants down below my ass! That'll show 'em!"

11. Poor phrasing on my part

The "straights" in this locution are the squares, the conformists, the mainstream people, the straight arrows. Something we used to say back in the 1970s.

I should think the "rebel" nature of this look has long passed as even an old fogey like me no longer views it with animosity but more like amusement, as in "That young feller's elevator doesn't quite make it all the way to the top floor."

9. I am constantly amused....

...by these guys walking down the street or sidewalk holding their pants on by their crotch. But that's about it - amused. 'Threat to public order and decency'? - No. Their butts aren't naked. If they were that might be different. However, his behind is covered - oddly so, but covered nonetheless.
