Bachmann 'on her way to a full and quick recovery' after being hospitalized
The illness kept her from making a trip Saturday morning to Missouri, where she is backing Blunt, a U.S. House member running in the GOP primary for the U.S. Senate. Bachmann did address Blunt's volunteers in St. Louis via Skype.

Blunt faces Tea Party-backed state senator Chuck Purgason, who also has garnered the support of Tea Party icon "Joe the Plumber."

Bachmann's decision to back Blunt has angered some Tea Party groups in Missouri. The controversy prompted some Missouri Democrats to speculate that Bachmann might change her mind about going to St. Louis. Dziok, however, indicated that the cancellation was connected to her recovery.

It's all very vague about why she's in the hospital. We're betting it has to do with finally getting her meds adjusted.

5. well, I can wish her body well and hope that her soul can find more enduring recovery
I detest her politics, but I will try to relate to her as a human being and pray for her health, as that's the "politic" I pray she begins to have for the rest of humanity.

36. Yes she does have a body but I believe with all my heart she
never had a soul, just a sloushy mixture of stupid and evil.

Naaa, it can't be that. Ya gotta have a brain to have brain surgery.

As is evident, she never recovered.

16. Perhaps we could find a Nurse Ratchet to give her the TLC she deserves.
I wouldn't go so far as wishing her a 'Cuckoo's Nest' solution (that would be wrong, and 'Chief' is long gone). I wish her nothing but good health--and ignominious political defeat. :)

22. The consensus seems to be that her problems are basically psychiatric
But the Jungians and the Freudians continue to fight over who gets her. Everybody in the mental health field wants to be able to publish their study of the new Sybil--and to name a new DSM disorder. :)

23. Yeah, me too. Who Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest was very intense...
One of the greatest movies ever. I still remember how I felt and where I was when I saw that movie. And I still hate Nurse Ratchet. I want to see Bachmann very, very well because she is the gift that keeps on giving. She's a bottomless pit of gaffes, blunders and insane rants. She's a democratic treasure!

BTW, in the movie, Kirk Douglas owned the rights to it for years and was going to star in the movie. But by the time the movie was finally made he was too old for the main character. His son, Michael Douglas assumed the rights from his dad and he proceeded to make the movie, but starring Jack Nicholson.

27. I love the movie, too. It was the subject of my college admission essay!
The theme is obviously anti-authoritarian, but I focused more on the element of principled self-sacrifice.

Thanks for the background. I'm counting my blessings that Nicholson got the role! :)
