2. In case any of you were not watching.
The man who said that Baghdad was like walking through a regular outdoor market in Indiana. He also said that Gonzo was being very open and candid with his testimony this past week. So Jon is right, the man is a fuckin idiot.

5. He sounds like a BushCo stooge.

And not a very good one at that.

I can't figure out why these assholes go on TDS. They always end up looking like monkeys.

6. Pence wasn't on...
TDS was showing clips from the latest Gonzales' "Ida Know" fest and had one of Pence thanking AG-AG for his sterling performance. Then Stewart reminded the audience of Pence's comparing the Baghdad marketplace to a summer fair in Indiana, looked at the camera and said "He's a (bleep)ing idiot."

Thank you, John Stewart! You rock like a guitar god!

3. Did they bleep it?
Last week, they had some robotics guy on. The robotics guy mentioned Clinton and Jon blurted out, "I thought he was a fucking robot!" Somebody was asleep at the wheel and didn't bleep it out.

Not that it traumatized me or anything. (Damn! Coulda made some cash...)

13. They sometimes don't bleep the 11:00pm showing because they don't really have to...,
...but then they bleep it for the replays that don't show "after hours."

Or at least that what I figure it is, because I've seen that happen plenty of times in the past.

18. Here's the video, I just uploaded it to my personal web storage space...
Edited on Tue May-15-07 02:47 AM by Up2Late
...but I've never tried uploading video as a "RealVideo" file before, so I'm not sure if this will work right.

Click this link below and let me know if it works for you:

May 14,2007 video part 1b

Note: I'm going to test this out on another computer on my home network, but I think, after you click the link, it will start downloading the file.

Then, when it's done, click the play button, but if it comes up all distorted or the sound is messed up (that's what just happened in my first test) do a Right-Click on the video picture and choose "Play in Real Player," which should fix it.

After I test this, if anything else weird happens, I'll edit this post with details.

Edit: Only one little correction to what I noted above, you can click the play button while it's still downloading, then do the other stuff I wrote above to make it look right.

7. The Gonzalez bit was brilliant
horribly paraphrased - "We couldn't have fired those attorneys for political reasons without an uproar. We would have read about it in the paper."

10. I think that he is the one who pounded on the lectern
some years back, saying that he did not want his tax money to fund abortion, or something. And I was thinking that there are many government programs that I don't want my tax money, either.

...I was represented by one of the guys who Impeached President Clinton, Bob Barr, and before that, I was represented by Newt Gingrich. :banghead:

I don't think I've had a Good Rep since I left Indiana, when I had one of the best, Rep. John Brademas in Indian's 3rd.
