9. Speaking as someone who lost her home to a fire, |

years ago -- and it was a solo house fire, not something like this -- still, I always feel for anyone going through such a devastating event.
I noticed on the map it shows the "smoke sensitive buffers" in pink, and they are not all located just around the fires. I don't know exactly what that means, but it stands to reason that the smoke drifting from the fires must be really tough on a huge number of people ... especially older folks and those with breathing difficulties on good days.
This isn't the first time I've looked at a map of Florida during such a season and said, "Yikes! Florida's on fire!" Don't think I've ever heard of it being worse, though.
Tough times for our Florida citizens; we should all be thinking of them. And isn't it almost as bad in Georgia, too?
