On Facebook, wife learns of husband's 2nd wedding
CLEVELAND (AP) — Dread of the unknown hung in the air as Lynn France typed two words into the search box on Facebook: the name of the woman with whom she believed her husband was having an affair.

Click. And there it was, the stuff of nightmares for any spouse, cuckolded or not. Wedding photos. At Walt Disney World, no less, featuring her husband literally dressed as Prince Charming. His new wife, a pretty blonde, was a glowing Sleeping Beauty, surrounded by footmen.

"I was numb with shock, to tell you the truth," says France, an occupational therapist from Westlake, a Cleveland suburb. "There was like an album of 200 pictures on there. Their whole wedding."

2. Nope, but his new wife did.
Or even, her friends posted the photos, and they tagged her in photos.

16. Don't you mean the woman with whom he's having an affair?
That would be more appropriate since he's still married to his wife This asshole should be in jail. Bigamy is still illegal last I checked. And then to just snatch the children and run? There are no words for how big an asshole this prick is.

28. That's how I found out. She boasted of her new man and posted pictures.
I could have died. He was working in the Czech Republic and had only been there a few days--and swore he just fell madly in love with her at first sight.

I just went to his site and she was suggested as a "Friend." O. M. G.

But come to find out - he kidnapped them? Holy shit. What a crazy son of a bitch.

6. So much for a "secret" second life...
Edited on Thu Aug-05-10 09:59 AM by BrklynLiberal
The first wife is a very sad case. She did not want to believe what was right in front of her face....

"In June 2009, against the advice of her attorneys, Lynn France dropped divorce proceedings when her husband came home and persuaded her to reconcile."

and then he took the two children..WOW!!!!!

If I were the first wife..and had the connections..I would consider putting out a contract on that asshole..

one of the parents.

36. No can do until a court establishes custody.
When there is no custody agreement, either parent can legally take off with the kids without repercussions. Law enforcement won't get involved until a judge puts a custody order in place and the other parent violates it. Without a court order, both parents are considered to have full legal rights to the children (including the right to move them elsewhere).

If she has decent lawyers, she can get the kids back, but there are hoops she has to jump through first.

30. She knows where they are, have been back and forth between Florida and Ohio
for over two years..

Apparently the state of Florida won't let the kids leave the state (per the husband's attorney) until this goes to court. And they have offered to fly her down to see them but she doesn't want to.

Husband says at one point the mom Lynn was under supervised visitation of the kids...

Whole story is fucked up...but it may not be what it seems...Will have to play out in court.

Watch the videos if you are really interested

11. OMG I was floored when I read she took him back. It was like a soap opera from there...
because after she took him back - he kidnapped their son and returned to Florida with the son to live with his other wife.

I hope they throw the book at this asshole and he rots in jail. And that second wife hasn't gotten any great prize. If this man was willing to marry her while still married to someone else AND steal a child trust me - he'll be doing the same to her in a few years if he can.

First wife gets no kudos since she took him back AFTER knowing about second wedding...

19. Oh come on....I'm sure she knew a lot more that they aren't telling us.
If I'm 5 minutes late coming home from work my wife is like, "what took you so long?" and then we spend the entire evening making dinner and taking care of the kids and stuff and it's pretty much like that all day every day.

This wasn't just out of the blue, she knew he was cheating and he's done it before and it's not like she was totally in the dark the whole time and this was a big shock. Who knows, they may have been separated the whole time and this is just her way to shame him cause she's jealous.

25. Nope...I read the whole story and I was right. Their marriage was over long before she
found the Facebook pics, and she's having trouble moving on. She even confronted the women in a hotel once and she told her they were engaged. Sure, it makes a great story, "Woman learns about husbands second marriage on Facebook" but most fiction makes great stories.

Hey, I'm empathetic but I can definitely spot bullshit when I see it and I'm not going to swaddle a lump of bullshit and rock it to sleep just for the sake of empathy.

37. IF he's right, the first marriage may have been invalid. No bigamy.
Apparently they were "married" in an Italian hotel, and he's claiming that the proper paperwork was never filed so he was never legally married to her in the first place. Because Ohio doesn't recognize common law marriages, he's already asked the court to recognize that the first marriage was never really a marriage at all.

He's still a huge prick, but if he's right, it makes some of what he did a little more comprehensible.

Her supposedly has affidavits proving that the marriage wasn't legal under Italian law. A judge will have to make that call.
