And then they would have a panel of 5 Republicans on for a solid hour trying to interpret what little boots had just said?

President Obama comes on and they show 15 seconds of it and then they cut to some nonsense like Anna Nichole Smith.

Anyone else notice this?

2. Bush gave speeches? That implies he could speak.
Don't get too worked up about this. President Obama is giving something like 35 speeches a month. The media aren't going to cover EVERY minute of EVERY speech.

5. 5 minutes of coverage is asking too much?
President Obama can do a lot of damage to Rethugs in 5 minutes.

That's why they won't show it.

3. I don't recall that being the case, but I'm not in a position to know
As someone who lives in the Pacific time zone and works long hours, most Presidential speeches, press conferences, etc. occur during hours when it is not possible for me to attend to them.

I'm lucky if I get home in time for the State of the Union once a year.

4. Every time that fuckhead opened his mouth, he got worshipful
coverage and hours of commentary from the talking pointy heads. Obama's speeches are interrupted for commercials and important stories like summer fashions or travel forecasts...on MSNBC! Fox doesn't bother with most of them at all.At least I hear they don't - I never watch their bullshit programming.

Every torturous fucking second of his mangling of language. I don't remember the panel of Republicans afterward because I don't think I made it through that much speechifying. I felt stupider just for watching what little of it I did.
