Lurking wingnuts: I shouldn't have to explain this to you, but I will. |

You've got your empty panties in a knot because Judge Vaughn Walker, the federal judge who let some fresh air into the room with his Prop 8 decision, is gay.
A gay judge decided a case involving the rights of gay people like him---and you scream that that is "obviously" unethical, a conflict of interest, unconstitutional, yada, yada, yada.
Can white heterosexual judges not decide cases where one side is white and heterosexual?
Can women judges not decide cases in which one side is female?
Bush v. Gore was decided in favor of an astonishingly amoral Republican willing to do anything to further his narrow political agenda by five SCOTUS justices who were---astonishingly amoral Republicans willing to do anything to further their own narrow political agenda.
That's one a lot of us would like to reverse. Why don't we just---what was that phrase you used?---"move on" and mind our own business when it comes to who someone decides to love?

I love this. It is so spot on.
