May I ask what some would call a stupid question?
What would happen if the United States actually split off the two
parties and divided the country into TWO countries?

I mean, why force two sides to stay married if they are so far
apart in so many ways?

Ok. I will go back to my beer now. Sorry to bother you.

2. Think five to seven successor states
and some serious political scientists have been, seriously, talking about it. This might come at the collapse of empire, and yes there are very specific cultures in the US.

Oh and the only stupid question is the one never asked.

4. No. It didn't happen. It tried to happen. What would happen if they succeeded in fact?
