1. seem to recall it was the 'anti-vaccers' and those who questioned hype who would get us killed
Well, I questioned the hype and the push to give $$ to big pharma based on the hype and I am still here, mean as hell and still questioning the method of fear to stampede people for profit.

3. I was concerned enough to buy a bottle of Sambucol
I came down with flu-like symptoms pre-season. Sambucol knocked it out of me in a single day. :D

6. I knew it was overhyped when I looked at the death rates of H1N1 versus regular flu.
Edited on Sat Aug-07-10 12:37 PM by 4lbs
Approximately 36,000 people die from the regular flu every year. That's about 3000 per month.

Less than 1% of that died per month from H1N1.

Oh, and the CDC reported that H1N1 was very similar to the flu strain that was going around in the U.S. in the 1950s, and that's why older Americans (50+ years old) were more resistant to it than the younger generations from the antibodies still being in their systems after a half-century. It is also when I knew it wasn't the population killer that a hysterical media was portraying it to be.

7. H1N1 was much ado about essentially nothing. Meh.
