BAGHDAD - At least five Iraqis were killed and 15 others were injured in two bombings in central Baghdad, reports said on Tuesday.
The five Iraqis were killed and the 15 injured when two explosive devices were detonated in central Baghdad, Voices of Iraq news agency said.
According to security sources, quoted in the reports, the two bombs went off successively in the Bab al-Sharqi region in the centre of the capital, where peddlers usually gather.
In another development, 14 Iraqis were reported kidnapped from the Kirkuk area in northern Iraq Tuesday, local police sources said.
According to police officer Abbas Mohamed, an armed group masquerading as Iraqi soldiers set up a fake checkpoint and kidnapped five civilians.
