If our spirit continues after death, I believe we do have to account for everything that we have done in our lives especially meeting face to face with everyone we have wronged and feel the pain we inflicted on them. We spend time in that spiritual dimension learning about why we were wrong. After awhile we are reborn into a life that helps us redeem ourselves for the previous life. Falwell will probably come back as a gay man in a fundamentalist society that persecutes gays.

29. Actually, Shrub was born 14 months after Hitler died. |

And given GWB's fondness for Germanic phrases like "Homeland Security" (translated "Geheime Staatspolizei" or "Gestapo") and heavy handed authoritarianism, my vote is that GWB is Hitler reincarnated.

When I first found DU someone had put a thread up about this. The DUer actually put it together because she had a dream about it.
:wow:
Well if Hitler was supposed to live this life as GWB to atone for his last life, he's doing a crappy job of it. Or it could be he's a lost soul that will keep recycling as a bad guy until the end of time.

but one should look at potent quotes of Jesus concerning "do not judge" which applies to everyone, hypocrisy, the unforgivable sin, claiming to see though morally blind(therefore the sin remains by their own judgment), the strict teachings on forgiveness and compassion, the strictures about Church leaders doing any of the above in particular. Harshly, vividly clear and nearly the only exception Jesus made regarding mercy, namely those who deny it to others and deify their judgment- and who so abuse their positions of authority in the faith community.
It would be wise not to step too closely to the pit whether you believe in a metaphysical hell or not.
