Anderson Cooper's Top Story today was Michelle Obama taking a trip to Spain
and how horrible it was because of the economy. he had on that ugly ass eric ericson also who said people were asking why wasn't she with her husband on his birthday. and how she was mean to be away from him on his birthday.

if the economy is so horrible , they should report on that . but it's boring for them i guess. and of course Anderson has to make up for anytime he has to report something negative on a republican.

his next story was on those guys who escaped from the prison with some discussion on private prisons.

he will also report on Naomi Campbell and Mia Farrow testifying at Charles Taylor trial. any of these stories would have been better over the stupid michelle obama one.

1. if the economy is so horrible , they should report on that .
In the old days where news meant telling the truth they would have.

Now its talk about anything to distract from the horrible conditions created by the corporations in our country.

2. you want to know why? in part because we aren't watching
the people who are watching aren't getting their actual news from there --that is unless they are poorly informed.

4. Anderson ought to stick to natural catastrophes. There's been so
much made of this trip to Spain....is there anything else happening...somewhere...anywhere? Maybe he should just take a vacation, it is August afterall.

5. he did a couple of really good segments on Pat Tillman case and Charle's Taylor trial
those should ahve been top stories.

the michelle obama thing should be where they bring in the gossip/entertainment reporter after 3/4th of the show is over.

11. I probably shouldn't have replied to this post because I never get
to see A.C. anymore....temporarily living in a Fox only household. Sad.

From Amy's headlines:

Romer Resigns as Obama’s Chief Economist

President Obama’s chief economist, Christina Romer, has resigned saying she wants to spend more time with her family. On Friday, she expressed regret for predicting last year that the federal stimulus package would keep the official unemployment rate under eight percent. Romer is the second senior member of Obama’s economic team to depart in recent weeks; White House budget director Peter Orszag left in July.

8. AC likes to rag on black people a lot, doesn't he?
Michelle Obama, Naomi Campbell, Charles Taylor etc. These were the top news? I doubt it.

9. Michelle made a stupid decision to go on a luxurious vacation to Spain.
It is her own fault, not the media's fault and not the republicans fault that she is getting bad press about it.

10.  I have said forever that this WH has a tin ear for PR. Just like the recent
"reannouncement" that the Prez still doesn't support Gay Marriage hot on the heels of Prop 8 being overturned in Cali and the initial support of firing Sherrod. JFK made Jackie at least "appear" to buy domestic clothing when it became an issue . Pat Nixon knew to wear a cloth coat when issues were raised.
I'll say it again, they need much better PR. But then sometimes I think they just don't care. You can't just hand the press ammo and NOT expect them to use it to sell soap.

13. I'm still not sure why people still watch Zoolander 360 or whatever it's called. If the economy's
so bad why don't fucking talk about that. And maybe (and this is going to sound crazy) have some people on with suggestions on how we can make things better.

16. He should get a Pulitzer for his Gulf Oil Crises reporting
BP refused to go on his show after he got the CEO to admit that he didn't know why it took so long to produce the live feed. And that was back in May.
I'm sure it's not his fault that he was sent as far away from the magically disappearing oil as possible.
