'Using illegal drugs when possessing a firearm' WTF
I have a friend of a friend who was convicted last week in Federal Court of, get this, Using Illegal drugs while possessing a firearm.

That's the first I heard of this law. And it was a real WHAT THE FUCK moment.

Think about that next time a friend offers you a toke.

This country is beyond Fucked Up.

1. Not the first I've heard of it.
Of course, where I'm from it is usually being under the influence of alcohol while in possession of a firearm.... lots of that during hunting season.

Is that from All Along The Watchtower?

Note, "you and I have been through that" Is the same as the concept of learning the different ways attempts are made to change people to what they don't want to be.

Thinking life is a joke is an attempt to create a despair doctrine, the writer of that song overcame that false doctrine.

4. Yup, you carry, you drink (or toke), you get caught, you go to jail.
If you had a carry permit, kiss it goodbye forever.

5. Only question
Was that friend at home at the time or was he/she outside with a gun holstered and injecting, snorting, or smoking something?

If he/she was at home. Then the drinking while carry law doesn't apply. It is still illegal, I imagine even if inside his/her own home, but that doesn't mean it is a just law.

6. What I think is "fucked up" is knowing of a case
where someone was caught high on meth (with more in his vehicle), waving a loaded gun at people -- and only spent one night in jail. He was sentenced to treatment and drug testing.

The guy was white and had the money to hire great lawyers.

7. Using illegal drugs, PLUS possessing a firearm
When you use a firearm during the commission of another federal crime, it adds to the severity of the original crime.

9. How did he come to get arrested by the Feds?

I mean short of being under federal investigation or on federal property, I am curious why the feds were involved?
