4. The amount of press that eye roll has gotten is a good omen |
|
It tells me Palin will never hold high elected office anywhere in the US. She is just not regarded as a serious person.
Can you imagine a gesture of Obama's, or even GW Bush's, being taken so seriously. Palin has become a caricature of herself, a Paris Hilton figure, famous for being famous.
I saw the clip on Countdown last night. And I thought, why are they bothering to show this? It has no significant connection to current events. My wife told me she even saw it in stop action somewhere, like a football replay. Ridiculous. But as far as I'm concerned they can keep it up. The more attention this kind of stuff gets, the sillier this idiot looks.
Even though she is out there "fightin" for our free speech.

Yes.

9. That incident must have been intimidating for Kathleen |
|
She held her own for awhile, but seemed to cave a bit upon realizing that she was being verbally assaulted by not just Palin, but Palin's daughter too. And God knows how many other Palin worshipers were lurking about outside the camera's view?
That was an offensive move on Palin's part plain and simple. Palin may have dressed things up a bit with her initial words, but the fact that she even approached Kathleen makes it clear that she intended to confront her. What a bi**h!
Kathleen, to her credit seemed to take the high road throughout. She respectfully explained her position in proper English, which seemed to leave Palin unable to do much other then babble on about freedoms and the constitution. :eyes:
And though Kathleen may have appeared to cave some at the end, I think alot of it had to do with the fact that Palin had her daughter (a young adult-and immature one at that) by her side willing to jump into the fray. If I had been in Kathleen's shoes at that moment, I probably would have been hesitant too, to continue a political discussion with the mother in front of the girl.
Kathleen is the victor and hero in this incident IMO

11. Having Willow jump into the fray reminded me of girls ganging up on an individual in the |

girls room in seventh grade. (Willow had nothing to add to the debate except for logical fallacies and pablum.) Definitely "mean girl" mentality.

Lovely example of 'family values' and how behave as an adult; Sarah Palin presents to her daughter... :sarcasm:

to Kathleen's job as "teacher". To be incredibly funny. Ol' Sarah knows she is intellectually out classed there. K steps back a bit (out of having class) and allows Sarah to regroup with the fisherman's wife bit...

13. Okay, knowing absolutely nothing about the video... |
|
I just now viewed it for the first time, with the sound off. I kinda saw what you were talking about.
But what really struck me as odd, was the way the photographer was treated. He/she was constantly blocked from videoing Sarah, especially near the beginning of the clip. Why?
From what I could tell, this was a public event. Unless he was shouting threats to her, there was no apparent reason to block him and his camera.
Looks like the only videos or images of Sarah allowed are those that are scripted/edited/sanitized. How the Repukes love our freedoms! :eyes:
