If the American people knew the Republican agenda....
....no Republicans would be elected in November.

Why don't they know? Is the mainstream media really that powerful? What will it take to wake up our citizens?

1. Is the MSM that powerful? Of course it is.
That's where most people get their information. If it's not on the MSM, it doesn't exist.

2. At nearly all jobs political talk is prohibited...
we all work with the ill-informed everyday but are not allowed to enlighten them

3. Leadership and strong framing from the Democratic Party could do it.
But, they would rather piss on liberals.

4. Well, the Dems sure do not spend much time shouting out the truth to them...
and us Liberals and Progressives are categorized as "fringe"...so who the hell is going to tell the American public the truth?

The lying, self-serving, greedy, power hungry corporate owned politicians....of BOTH parties? I do not think so.

Sadly, the actual truth does not serve either party very well at this point in time.

7. Where I live we have been and probably always will be
Democratic or DFL (Democrat,Farmers and Labor) and we never hear anything like that on the news here. I get my info from the net. Places like DU, and the other blogs.

8. The Republican agenda is mean spirited and greedy. Unfortunately,
those values are shared by far too many Americans. In other words, many Americans are as greedy and mean as the Republicans. That's why their politicians continue to show those traits as a badge of
excellence.

10. I disagree in part. There are many people I know...
...who think they are right wingers, but when you properly frame questions to them it turns out they have ideals and values similar to those shared by the left.

They've largely fallen victim to two messages:

1.0 Fear, after all 'they' are out to get you and

2.) Devicivesness that pits one group of American against another ("they want to take my guns" or "those government employees have it too soft").

on the basis of results and first principles?

11. So if they understood the true Democratic agenda they wouldn't elect any Dems either?

13. The Republican agenda has already been enacted, starting with Reagan
Americans don't "know it" because of the constant distractions presented. Hey, there's another celebrity scandal! Who cares if the middle class is gone? That's so boring by comparison.

15. Why wouldn't they know? Regardless of the media, paying minimal attention would trump any propaganda
They know and like that kind of thing or they are fucking brainless.
