GOP's Gridlock Strategy Will Fail.
Edited on Tue Aug-10-10 10:25 AM by Evasporque
The GOP is betting the farm on their gridlock strategy. They will claim they are stopping Obama's "socialist agenda", but when the ads start flying come October...the GOP will be seen as obstructionist with no purpose other than obstruction and people will say enough. Not the people beyond the 3% that the media seem most interested in appeasing...right and right center Beck watchers and Limbaugh listeners.

No plans.
No goals.
Just block everything.

Obama is calling them on that so are the Democrats.

I can see Obama in a recent one on one with Mitch McConnelll Senate minority leader.

I doubt Obama or the Democrats feel on the ropes.

So McConnell comes out doing what he must do...keep playing the Block and throwing wild haymakers.

The GOP resurgence...is fantasy...

The GOP has Sarah Palin stumping for them...and their most vocal and influential faction of the party are nutjobs swinging teabags that scream socialism and targets with Obama's head on them...that is how far they have fallen.

Now the Boehner wants to muck with the 14th amendment to halt same sex marriage...

1. I doubt the democratic heavy losses will even happen. Maybe 1-2 losses in the Senate
and we keep the House.

2. You don't get that from the pundits and tv...
And look at how the "obama too centrist" crowd avoids posting on this...

I have noticed any GOP bashing post drops off the page...

Any Obama bashing post...is quickly advanced to the greatest page and numerous supportive posts flood the thread.

Yet a GOP bashing post, a GOP critical post slips into oblivion....

5. Gridlock
It will eventully fail but might get Republicans a narror majority In the House.I am still skeptical it will ultimetly happen but
It could.Republicans will pick up seats In The Senate but Democrats will keep the majority however. And If Democratcs keep the house
Republicans will be able to fillerbuster everything which they will continue to do.Very little will get down for the contury In 2011/2012.Eventully what Obama and the Democrats have accomplished will start to show Improvments. And If Republicans were to narrorly
take the House(remember back In 2006 with Bush In worse shape than Obama Democrats picked up 30 seats.Republicans have to pick up 39
seats and also lose none of their seats. With the exception of hawaii all House special elections have gone to Democrats and hawaii was lost because 2 democrats split the vote) they will guarantee Obama's reelection.Especilly since Romney Is the likely Republican
nominee.

6. Yes, you are right, they will fail. They think they have dumbed the public down enough, but No!
They think the country has been so dumbed down that nobody will notice that they have done nothing and have no plan to do anything other than return to strategies and policies that as recently as 2-years ago proved disastrous.
