Gibbs was wrong about the "professional left." |
|
By definition, a professional is someone who comports themselves in a reasoned, responsible, and effective manner. The actual "professional left" understands the gap between what you want and what you can get is one that needs to be closed by degrees. That winning some and losing some is better than sitting on the sidelines holding out for 100%. And that there is no magic bullet, no one fast and easy way to bypass the slow cutting of hard boards that is politics.
Gibbs should have criticized the unprofessional left.

1. mabye Gibbs wasn't referring to the people you're referring to |
|
maybe he was referring to professionals such as Krugman or Kucinich or Grayson or Stiglitz, or any of number of professionals on the left who have been begging Obama to stop pandering to the right.
