Why does the repuke right fall all over itself chasing its radical fringe,
while the conservadems in power in DC constantly attack the center and left?

The answer to this question explains all.

1. Well, this site doesn't allow us to say that the Dems and Pukes are really on the same side
So I can't answer your question.

3. Maybe that's why the GOP is the minority party now?

Win the center... win the election.

It's been true for 200+ years in this country.

8. remember the good old days, when people had jobs that paid living wages?
when our schools actually educated our children?

when the democrats courted center by moving to the RIGHT instead of grudgingly to the LEFT?

5. Because the Dreams of the Watergate Conspirators have come fully true.
Either the DLC Democrats are an outright subsidiary of the Republican Bushies or it is some combination of other factors.

Not that it matters. Whether they are de facto or not, they are behaving as such, so the why really doesn't matter.

6. both parties are currently aimed at the right--the baggers and the centrists
it's not like the two "extreme" factions--TBers and the progressives/lefitsts/Marxists--actually have anything in common other than distance from the fatuous center that gave us Iraq

7. Because the radical fringe is its own tail.
And besides, it loves sniffing its own ass -- so around and around it goes.

And the conservadems just want in on the ass sniffing.

10. They don't. Abortion is still legal, there is still affirmative action, welfare, immigration...
...still no prayer in schools; they actually don't get much. A lot of the anti-gay marraige stuff had to be done through referenda.

11. Because the repuke right makes up 60% of the republican party
and the left only makes up about 40% of the democrats.
