Robert Gibbs Motivational Tip #1 |
|
#1 - Make sure to insult and ridicule your base three months before the Mid-Term election! It is a great way to make sure they participate in helping your party retain control!
Stay tuned for more tips as they become available.

10. Well, that's what I mean. I don't think they think of the Left as the base, so what would they |
|
care if they piss us off? I don't think they believe they need our votes any more.

7. It depends on where you think the center is |
|
It's where a majority of the people are on a variety of issues: public option health care, getting out of the wars, starting a jobs program instead of bailing out Wall Street again and again, you get the drift.
The party conservatives like the DLC drones in the White House think it's halfway between them and the lunatic right.
So yes, they're going out of their way to alienate the party base and a lot of the independents, as well.
A pox on the lot of them. Throwing victory away with both hands is always what they've done best.

The center is part of the vote that the left turns out.

11. um... I'm betting not. Most far leftists don't donate much money at all. |
|
The money, for good or bad, comes from the well-connected and wealthy.
Those aren't far left.

19. I don't know about other places but here the left is what gets out and works |
|
On elections. Some of the people I worked with on the campaign are still volunteering with OFA - I know because they keep trying to get me to go back and work. Last year I had health problems for an excuse, this year I just cannot work up any enthusiasm at all for working my ass off again.
The comment before by Rahm pissed me off, but this crap from Gibbs is the last straw. I will not be volunteering for any campaign any time soon. And I may throw Gibbs comments up to every campaign that sends me appeals for money or time. Let THEM pressure the Obama White House to treat the left better and pay more attention to us. I've sent email after email and signed countless petitions, not one of which has gotten any response or respect from the Obama team.
Robert Gibbs, thanks for making up my mind for me!

http://www.pollster.com/polls/us/jobapproval-obama-dems.phpYou know, I don't the president ill. But you can't bash your base for months for being too liberal, especially when you need the young people to come out for you, and expect good things to happen.

17. If you have DIRECT VOTES on your state ballot |
|
please don't let the Washington D.C. Democratic Party keep you from voting on issues that directly affect your life in the state or city where you live.
Not that I think this is what's going on - this is just another insult added to injury in general.
However, don't let the bullshit keep you from addressing what impacts you WHERE YOU LIVE.
