I refuse to sink to the level of Falwell and his ilk. Falwell is dead. I am surely not going to cry a river. But I am not going to dance a jig either. It is up to God to judge who is right and who is wrong. If Falwell is right, then I am a Hellbound sinner. If he is wrong, then maybe he is. I will not add to my situation by calling him names. Falwell is dead, but there will be another, our enemies are nothing if not numerous.

but I am not God. I don't know for sure if God is how I think he is, how Falwell thinks he is, or even if he exists at all. That is why it is called faith. I believe without knowing.

4. Falwell was a Christian Fascist. For Falwell to be right, God would

have to be a Fascist (a reading some might argue is supported by certain incidents in the Old Testament, like what God commanded Joshua to do to the women and children of Jericho after the walls came tumbling down).

The haters must hate. They must spew their venom and they have a thousand reaons why their hate is good hate as opposed to the hatred of those they hate.
