I'm glad Stevens got to live long enough to clear his name.

I just got the shocking and saddening news about Ted Stevens. Stevens got screwed by a half baked investigation of the chop shop Bush "Justice" Department. I'm glad the poor old crank got to live long enough to clear his name. If Bushco hadn't screwed him, he might still be alive today.

1. While I have a pretty good opinion of Ted he certainly did not clear his name
Just because the Prosecution screwed up does not mean he did not do what he was recorded on tape admitting too and what he was charged with. Senator Stevens will always be warmly remembered by the majority of Alaskans as he was very effective for his state in bringing home the bacon. I have very good memories of him and will mourn for him but the last Decade he succumbed to the same sickness as virtually every other Republican . He used to be an honorable man and I will remember him in that manner.
