Ted Stevens crashed on the Matterhorn. They had a short ad about how they were going to talk about the crash on the Today Show, showed a plane floating on a lake and then showed the Matterhorn.

1. There are survivors; how did they survive the Matterhorn?

We'll be hearing a lot more about this in the days ahead, no doubt.

2. I guess the weather's too bad out in Dillingham

4. Was it this one . . .?

Ya know. . . the one at Disneyland.

No disrespect intended but I couldn't really resist given that the former senator supposedly picked caribou barbie for the governorship after orchestrating potential funding for the infamous "bridge to nowhere."

Talk about the land of make believe. Yikes.

5. I think it was Wally Hickel and not Ted Stevens,

who was Sarah's mentor. Sarah and Ted didn't always get along so well, and by the time of his death earlier this year, Wally Hickel said he didn't give a damn about her. She's not very popular with Alaska's "real" Republicans.
