Ohio DUers -- Any chance that Boehner will bite the dust in November? We're
all giddy about the new spot for Justin Coussoule, but does he have a chance? Is Boehner unbeatable? I'm just interested to know what you guys think.

2. I don't live in Oh, but used to live in Pgh, PA. and I would bet
quite a lot that Boehner is staying. I hate the idea, but unless he does something reallystupid or Justin does something really exemplary, nothing's going to change.

4. Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. I see the 'golf' spot and think how could
anybody vote for this guy, but we see over and over how some of these dicks keep getting reelected. Even if we can't get rid of him, we have to make sure we retain the majority -- I heard he's campaigning around saying "vote for a Republican so I can become the Speaker!" :eyes:

8. Well, Tom Foley was considered invincible in 1994
And lousy voter turnout, coupled with Newt Gingrich's media darling status opened the door for dimwit George Nethercutt to unseat the Speaker of the House. Who's to say? Some good organization, good get-out-the-vote mechanics, and Coussoule could score an upset, which would whomperjaw the talking chuckleheads on Nov. 2.

9. I'm in his district.
Usually the Dem in this race is a flatliner and people mindlessly reelect the Boner. It seems a little different this time - a little momentum, and some younger energy may stir things up. There's some decent organizing going on, and thanks to the billboard and the video, he's finally getting some press. I'm going to a meeting next week & will report details. Shortly after that, the yard sign wars will begin. The streets around my town are usually peppered with Boehner signs come September. I've seen a few, but it's still too early to tell.

Right now I give Justin a 30% chance.

10. Please keep up informed. I'm going to say something that I really hope
doesn't happen, but if the Dems actually lose the majority, it would be at least some consolation to me if Boner lost his race so he could never become speaker!
