What sparked the latest attack on the left?
I've been away from media today. It's also hard to figure out who bad mouths us more. Is there some sort of contest between the parties or something on left bashing?

1. Anyone?
I've arrived late to the party. I've had a real busy day. I've read what was said here. But what sparked it?

4. Robert Gibbs flapped his lips at a Hill correspondent.
I don't know why. I think it's because he's as inside DC as you can get and thought he was lip-flapping among friends. I hope it's not because the WH believed it had an opportunity to do some triangulating during election season. That would be really, really stupid of them.

10. Yes, the timing would seem problematic.

8. Interesting.
You mean they might be starting to fear us or are frustrated we are hard to fool? I mean, when do you attack people that vote for your party as an election approaches? Could be a costly tantrum so to speak.

14. "it is an act of weakness, like a little child who can't get his way."
That's exactly what it is. DLC is lashing out at progressives because of their failed attempts to control us with their bullying.

3. An interview
Wherein Gibbs is asked something about the administration being frustrated with the left, and Gibbs responds that they'll never be happy, they want things like Canadian health care and to close the Pentagon, which is unrealistic. And that any of these people on the "professional left" who think Obama=Bush need drug testing.

That's all. No big deal real.

It did not answer that question of inquiring what the catalyst was.

We aren't falling in line and running to the right like we are supposed to. So, they are attacking us again. :eyes:

18. Interesting timing on the heels of the announcement about the Warren nomination.
I don't get it, at all. The White House is on the verge of doing something the liberal left will applaud and this comes out.

Makes no effing sense, at all. Were they afraid they couldn't throw us a bone without slapping us down a little? It's baffling.

20. I don't think it was an attack on the Left, per se.
Just the usual players raking in dollars by selling discontent.

27. There is no "professional left".
There is a "professional right" - an entire major news network, a tightly disciplined message machine, a coordinated false front political party - an entire career track for rightwing 'thinkers' in the big money funded rightwing foundations.

The "professional left" slam was an attempt to deny the credibility of the widespread discontent in the progressive left democratic party base as not valid but instead the work of "professionals".

21. Robert Gibbs hates Democrats as much, if not more than Rahm Emanuel does.
He proved that beyond all doubt in December 2003. Now he says we all need to take piss tests. Which ranks right up there with "fucking retards". Fine way to treat the base of the party that elected their employer.
