Teen convert has been secretly talking to her parents all along
By now, I think we're all familiar with the Rifqa Bary case. If not, here's the run down...

Muslim girl who is a cheerleader and good student converts from Islam to Christianity, runs away from home on advice of Christian fundamentalist, joins up with them, court battle ensues.

The Christian Right told everyone that Rifqa feared for her life, saying that her parents would kill her.

Well, if you're afraid of someone, then I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't do what happens next:

"Her father and mother today disclosed that their daughter two weeks ago sent them a video, along with candy and music, saying she loved them.

She also has sent them letters. In one, she thanked them for helping her be a successful student. She graduated recently from a Columbus-area high school, her father said, and was valedictorian.

"'I'm here because of you guys,' " her father said she wrote them."

Not exactly the words and actions of someone who is fearing for their life, right?

1. Christianity scares me as much or more than the other religions
I'm happy to be a non religious person, the freedoms it gives me and all. Oh I still live by the rules of life, some call the ten commandants. BTW the only good thing that ever came out of that book of hate and discontent that I ever read, mind you its been years since I've opened one and have no plans to do so ever again but you know.

2. I particularly like Jesus' Sermon on the Mount
Too bad most Christians don't act the way Jesus taught they should.

3. Yeah, Jesus was a socialist who taught sharing.
Now why would anybody want to share what's rightfully theirs? :sarcasm:

5. From everything I read that he said, socialist is also my conclusion
He was at least against rich people taking advantage of the poor.

4. It's what you take from it.
Truly religious people of any and every faith are the same. They take their faith as an obligation to treat other living creatures well.
