Dare I suggest...
Edited on Wed Aug-11-10 09:27 PM by Better Today
Grayson/Warren ticket for 2012? Wouldn't that just be sweet? Ah, if only I had a pipeful, I could call it a pipe dream.

1. Well, at the risk of being slammed, I would like to see some alternatives like
this for 2012.

3. Yeah, we're going to get pretty well slammed but some on here, but
based on what I see at the top of the greatest page, I don't think they will be the majority. Grayson and Warren are the sharpest and most sincere tools in the shed that I can see.

6. I know, I've been up for about 48 hours and I'm definitely dreaming on my feet,...
What a lovely dream though, right?

K&R for dreams.

7. I wonder if there's a way to make it reality? How does a nobody in podunk
approach the likes of Grayson or Warren to primary a standing Dem-ish president?

8. I thought about this earlier!
I'm glad to see that some else did, too! I might even be willing to reverse the order Warren/Grayson. :hi:

If only I had a bong I could kidnap Rand Paul and make him worship the Aqua Buddha.

10. I have the pipe, just nothing to put in it. I've put everything I've don't have,
in other words, my last credit $$s on getting a new aspect to my biz going. So no goodies for me. I'm eating two eggs and two potatoes worth of hashbrowns everyday, haven't spend a dime on much of anything else in months, and before that only spent what was necessary to keep a roof over my head... I'm not even paying that anymore. I'll be homeless soon, depending on how fast they decide to foreclose on me. I have electric and water, and eggs and potatoes, and great fun with my new equipment. I've actually made $200 in the past 7 days which is more than I made the entire past 24 months, so there is hope, small and teeny hope, but hope nonetheless.

11. I don't think either would do it. How about 2016?
Issues-based primary challenges in presidential years usually work best if you don't have a Dem incumbent.

12. You're about three months premature
Most here still believe that the Democratic Party is going to stay in power after Election Day, when that doesn't happen, there will be all kinds of talk about a new ticket in 2012.

18. I didn't say that I was advocating
switching horses in the middle of the stream, only that I expect it to be heavily discussed starting the day after Election Day.

We're in for a rough ride, we're guaranteed to see at least half a dozen tea partiers win elective office.

19. The fun part will be when liberals and conservatives in the Democratic Party
blame each other for the losses. It will be a fight over the direction and platform of the party.

It will resemble the worryfest that happened the day after the 2008 election on the freeper board. I loved going there to lurk and laugh!

20. Well, I have to admit that the ticket you mention, Grayson/Warren
does not mean alot to me. I have seen a few sound bites from Rep. Grayson, but nothing from Elizabeth Warren (I think that is who you are referring to).

I would be interested in what you think these two would do and what platform they would run on.

22. Really????? Well Google is your friend. She's been in the news
a lot lately. A while back did some visits to various shows regarding financial reform. Recently blew the lid off the AIG bailout scam. If you truly have no idea, I'm wondering where you've been over the last year or so.

23. Yes really, and I am not sure if Google is my friend. But putting that aside,
the AIG bailout scam is referring to the obscene bonus' that were exposed? Maybe, as she has been nominated, she will work well as the director of the newly created CFPA.

I'm just trying to put the hyperbole behind and your comments in context, as I remember that DU was really excited about running Patrick Fitzgerald of the "in 24 business hours we will be indicting KKKarl Rove" fame for office.
