6. Kudos, Greenbriar

Don't forget to support your teaching staff....

Some "princes" that i have worked for found it too

easy to get brainwashed by their fellow administrators.

Good luck.

8. au contraire
the freeps look at school administrators as lazy and overpaid bureaucrats. Just listen to the freepers discussing any school ballot measure or funding increase: "look at all of this money for goddam administration - it's bad enough that the teachers, who only work nine months of the year anyway, make so much money, but these administrators are the real leeches."

Anyway, congratulations. Some of us know how hard you work and how much shit you have to deal with.

9. All right, Lisa!
It's just a stereotype, as you know.

Proud daughter of a hardworking liberal principal who raised five kids on her own.

11. Congrats.....
I am a retired elementary principal (23 years) and elementary teacher (9 years) and have been teaching Early Childhood Education classes at the local community college for the last 3 years......being an elementary principal is very rewarding.....although I enjoy the college experience. In fact I've had students in my college classes that were elementary students in the building I was principal in.....whew do I feel old!!!!

principalship I was 38 years old...there was only a few teachers younger than be...older staff.....being a teacher first gave me some credibility....treat people fair...be consisant w/ the rules and you can work with any group....oh and get to know the children....
