Senators Tester and Webb.....
...is it just me or have we not really heard all that much about either of these guys over the past 2 years, particularly given how their victories were such big news. I mean Webb made a few waves, some favorable with the democratic base (I'm thinking Webb's prison reform efforts) and some unfavorable (I remember seeing their names on the bad side of a few foreign policy debates. But Tester hardly at all. Other than a few blips on the radar of noticing "Oh, I see he voted this way or that way" on a particular bill considering how they were both somewhat media darlings for a good hot minute after their elections I find this surprising. I mean I guess this is good in that it probably means neither one are being particularly contentious to the party as a whole on most votes or pulling tantrums and pouting and stomping their feet for attention a la Nelson or Lincoln or even Dodd.

Maybe it's just that very reason, that they've had some more favorable votes on things, but also some more conservative ones but have never made any of it about themselves. Which is something I have no problem with. I don't have issues with Senators or Reps voting their consciences or their constituencies especially in more conservative areas, as long as they are not holding hostage bills as a whole or demanding ridiculous things in return for their vote.

Or maybe it's just that I haven't been paying enough attention? Who knows.
