1. In the end, most dems will vote for Obama. Many reluctantly and many because the naive hope
that things will improve does not die easily within us.

But it is an undeniable fact that the enthusiasm and effort that swept him into office will not be there in 2012.

2. Cynthia McKinney won't be the Green candidate
and there may well be another 3rd party ticket, depending on how the poll numbers look.

4. Pretty obvious to anyone
Hard to say who thy'll run and how much appeal they'll have, but it's a safe bet it won't be McKinney.

11. I didn't know being aware of third party candidacies was a reprehensible thing.
Now you don't even have to be considering voting for them?

Knowing they exist is bad enough?

Wow.

24. So you have no interest in what your enemies are up to?
You don't pay any attention what the Republicans are doing either, I suppose.

In war, do you think the Americans should have ignored what their enemies were doing?

Do you think your approach, reveling in ignorance, is something that helps the Democratic Party be more aware, and thus able to plan better?

5. I have always planned to vote for Obama again - I did before, and
Edited on Sat Aug-14-10 09:24 AM by old mark
still believe he will be the best available candidate, despite the Administration's dislike of the Democratic left...he is the best we will see till someone better comes along.

I will hope he changes his attitude toward us, but I think the New Dems should adopt a motto:
"We suck, but we are still better than the republicans..."

Fired Up?

Meh...:hurts:

6. No assumptions about progress or the lack of it between now and then?
What if EFCA is passed? What if DADT and DOMA are repealed? What if some or all U.S. troops are leaving Afghanistan by then? etc....

What if only some of these things get done?

None of them...?

26. I'd be more interested in a 2012 Democratic primary poll.
If unemployment is still hovering at 10% (if not worse) then there could be real grounds for a challenge.

Grayson? Dean? Kucinich?

Anyone?
