The Gibbs statement has been out for something like a week. While at this point I.think it's still interesting and useful to examine the dynamics between elected officials, the outraged, the woodchucks, and the rest, I think anyone who's picked a side is probably going to stay there from now on. You might be able to embarrass someone who's not making sense on the issue so that others see the absurdity, but I'm not sure that you'll be able to stop someone from actin/being outraged at this point. Our time is probably better spent supporting our 2010 slates.

Think about it this way: if they're bluffing, we'll see them in November. If they're not, you may have to go through this whole thing several times until then anyways as they repeat the ultimatum strategy.
