Poll question: If You Are A Registered Democrat In South Carolina, Do You Vote For Alvin Greene ? |
|
Assuming he's still on the ballot by then...
Just trying to guage how far party loyalty is supposed to go.
I would never vote for DeMint, but then I wouldn't cast a vote for Greene either.
My protest vote, would be no vote at all for SC Senate.
And in Florida...
If it looks like Meek cannot get any traction before the election, and as a Democrat you want to make absolutely sure Rubio never gets within a solar system of the U.S. Senate...
Do you vote Crist?
Again... just trying to see how far party loyalties reach with folks here.

1. I'd write in the guy they robbed using those DREs |
|
Greene, at the worst, is a none too bright and creepy man who tried to pick up college girls using a ploy that drunken frat boys generally abandon after the first time they try it. At the best, he's a none too bright dupe who has been framed by a Republican (yes, his accuser has admitted to that) who never picked him out of a lineup but picked his picture out of a group of photos in a rather fishy setup with a bunch of charges that are over the top, even for South Carolina. A FELONY? No way.
Even at the worst, he'd be an improvement over DeMented, but I'd find it impossible to vote for him. I'd have to do a write in.

2. Hmmm -- something I've been alot about lately. |
|
But I don't think that Greene is on the ballot legitimately. So - no.

between voting for Greene and write in. Someone wanted Greene as a candidate real bad. With Greene in it is not a stretch to say Deminted will win. The Democratic vote for senate will not matter. That is the hope of whoever paid for Greene to run. Without a competitive senate race, the dems will stay home and Nikki Haley will be our new Guv.

1. Greene is a plant in some way, and someone wants him as a candidate REALLY bad.
2. Greene won't win anyway, and his being on the ballot makes a mockery of our election process.
3. What Greene did to the college student creeps me out
I would write-in someone.
And, I wouldn't vote for Crist, ever, since I don't vote for Republicans, especially anti-gay ones.

6. SC and FL are different scenarios. |
|
Polls are often bullshit. You can't base your vote in Florida on a corporate media poll that tries to convince you the Democrat can't win. If you hate Meek then don't vote for him. But don't let polls manipulate you into voting for a Republican in sheeps clothing.
If you can't vote for Greene then vote Green. The Green Party has a Senate candidate in SC. I'm not sure what I think about Alvin Greene. I'd have to spend a little more time looking at the race before I made a decision.

8. Maybe... But If I Lived There, And Got In The Voting Booth On Election Day... |
|
and had become convinced that voting for Meek would virtually guarantee a Rubio victory, but voting for Crist would ensure a Rubio defeat, I'd probably pull the lever for Crist.
Lesser of two evils wins again.

13. And that's exactly why |
|
the corporate press has been pushing polls to convince you of that. Which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. But polls are frequently inaccurate, especially in state races months before an election.

I'd wait until the very last moment (election day, perhaps), to make my final decision.

I won't vote for a Republican, period. I know that much.
I don't think I could vote for Alvin Greene either. I would vote for any other good Democrats on the ballot though. I've never sat an election out.
