Immigration protesters descend on (Washington) Nationals Park (baseball).

For at least the second time this summer, protesters descended on Nats Park on Sunday to urge baseball to move the 2011 All-Star game out of Phoenix because of the state's immigration policies. The AP account says about three dozen people protested outside the stadium before the game, though more striking were the four folks who made it onto the field. I'll let the AP tell the story:

"A man emerged from the left-field stands in the fifth inning and ran into short right field after Washington pitcher Stephen Strasburg grounded to short for the first out. As security guards were about to subdue the man, a woman ran onto the field from the right-field seats.

The two ran around the field, meeting in deep right-center, before they were caught by security. As they were being escorted from the field, a man and a woman holding a banner protesting the All-Star Game in Arizona ran into right field."

Though I'm pretty sure the latter two protesters were both women. The game was delayed for a few minutes, while everyone whipped out their cell phones to take video and make taser jokes. And if you're going to waste battery life taking video of immigration protesters disputing an Arizona state law during a baseball game in D.C., you might as well get your battery's worth by having one of the security guards fall down while trying to grab a banner.
