Supreme Court upholds 'birther' sanction
WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court has upheld a $20,000 fine against a leader of the movement challenging President Barack Obama's citizenship.

The high court on Monday refused to block a federal judge's October 2009 ruling that required California lawyer and dentist Orly Taitz to pay the $20,000 fine for filing a "frivolous" litigation. The judge said Taitz attempted to misuse the federal courts to push a political agenda.

Taitz sued in Georgia federal court on behalf of Army Capt. Connie Rhodes. Rhodes sought to avoid deployment to Iraq by claiming Obama wasn't born in the United States.
Justice Samuel Alito on Monday rejected Taitz's second request to block the sanctions. Justice Clarence Thomas had rejected the request earlier.

Your time is up. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.

4. I wish news orgs would choose their words more carefully, including headlines.
Supremes have NOT UPHELD; they REFUSED TO CONSIDER a matter challenging fine against Orly (for being a pain in the a**!)

5. Well surprise surprise surprise, Oily Titz lost again damn those activist judges
anyhow, its a liberal plot to hide the fact that in 1960 the mooslims were plotting to take over the US of A from the inside. Just like the recent non fact that turned up that there are millions of terrorists babies being born in the US of A so they have citizen rights and can attack us in 20 or 30 years. Which is why the liberals want the mooslims to build a mooslim church right there in New York City right where the Twin Towers stood, all plots against the conservative, god fearing christians that built this country. :sarcasm: just in case.

6. the supremos would have had to admit that roberts got duped when he swore obama in.
and if it's one thing republicans can't do, it's admit they were wrong.

i understand that many wing-nuts are emboldened because they've pretty strongly got the supreme court in their pocket, but when you can only win by asking them to embarassing themselves, your chances are slim to none.

for a change, right-wing dysfunction leads to a correct result.
