The 1st Amendment and the 14th Amendment....what next??

The Republican Party has been busy of late preaching their hatred of immigrants and pushing for the repeal of the 14th Amendment. Abe Lincoln must be dizzy from spinning in his grave?

Now, they are jumping on the President for defending the 1st Amendment and freedom of religion. Some Muslims want to turn an old Burlington Coat Factory building, a couple of blocks from where the WTC collapsed after being hit by planes, into an Islamic Center.

The Republicans, many who privately support the first Amendment, see this as a political opportunity to attack Barack Obama. Now what do you think is more important, the First Amendment and freedom of religion or the chance to score political points with the weak-minded?

One wonders what part of the Constitution they would like to do away with next? And they call themselves conservatives??
