All right DU, I could use a little help with a Letter to the Editor-
<snip>
Who’s lying?

In reference to Mr. Smith’s letter to the editor (Aug. 8) that Fox News tells lies and it has been proven, I ask: Who has proved that what’s reported are lies? Where is his, or their, proof?

There is plenty of proof — physical, photos, written and verbal — that what Fox News provides isn’t false.

The end of his letter is asking where the journalists and congressional leaders are to condemn the lies. Well, Mr. Smith, since they aren’t lies, the only thing being said is, “They lie,” over and over again.

Mr. Smith needs to open his eyes, not just his ears, to the lying politicians who think saying something over and over again will make it come true. The truth can’t be changed, only left out, as has been done to our history for a long time now.

And, it is said that it is for our own good.
<snip>

I would like sources that can provide proof of lies - Media Matters ??? Other suggestions?

1. I would clarify that Mr Smith asserts FOX news is telling the truth.

Your first paragraph almost sounds like Smith is the party challenging the factuality of FOX news reporting.

Try adding quotation marks like this:
In reference to Mr. Smith’s query (Aug. 8) "In response to those who say that Fox News tells lies and it has been proven, I ask: Who has proved that what’s reported are lies? Where is his, or their, proof?"

or just re-phrase it more simply:
Mr Smith asked for proof of dishonesty in Fox News' reporting.
And then go on to offer that proof.

Maybe you can seek verification at http://www.Politifact.com or
http://www.factcheck.org God know, Faux news' lies are many, so it should be easy to locate some of their more egregious fibs.
